Jason
Jason came to the team looking for support to get into construction or security. while developing his Personal development plan he told his mentor that his partner was also looking for work and they had two children between them. While exploring the options the mentor pointed out potential childcare issues that could arise as a result of them both working. With this, in mind, the mentor supported him to gain his SIA license as it had more flexible work option of nights that would fit around his partners shift and the children.
As he wasn't yet working the cost of travel to the course would have put the family under financial distress and so the mentor arranged travel costs. Jason is now working full-time nights and the mentor is now supporting his partner to find work that fits around school times, the children, and Jason’s shift patterns.
